Barcelona is one of the most beautiful cities in the world. It's really worth a visit. If you go to Barcelona you must go to Las Ramblas, there're a lot of good restaurants around it, Spanish food and wines, wow!!

As a 24-year resident I can tell you that Las Vegas is the coolest place on earth! Here's more Vegas trivia for you. The largest grossing restaurant in the country is Tao Las Vegas in the Venetian Hotel. Tavern on the Green in NYC is in second place, but Tao's revenue numbers are almost double! There are more hotel rooms on the four corners of Las Vegas Boulevard and Tropicana Avenue than there are in all of San Francisco. Golf Digest Magazine recently published a survey that ranked Las Vegas as the #1 golf travel destination in the country. McCarran International Airport is now the nation's sixth busiest. Not bad for a patch of desert in the middle of nowhere!

Hi, Thank you for your feedback.

Lulu has kindly responded to your question as to why she has called the Island Bora;

Boracay is used to be called “BORA” as how we coined it. I don’t have further explanation how this has been created but as you far as I knew every one of “us” called it that way. Is it already understood when someone say “BORA” its BORACAY already. I guess it is our way of shortening it.

Can I ask a question for a sec? Why are you calling this island "Bora"? Bora is in French Polynesia. This is Boracay and except for a few sleazy economy places on the island, no one here has ever called it Bora. I've noticed in the recent 2 years that Filipino travel bloggers have started using this term out of nowhere and I'm not sure why that is. After that, some hipster type westerners started using that term and how it made it onto that Yahoo top 10 list (last year) is beyond anyones guess.

Come and visit, its a nice place for a short stay...but certainly not any more special than a hundred other beaches except we have power outages almost daily and the water will make most foreigners sick. Kinda expensive here too.

I guess you are wondering why I bothered to write in and use such negative terms. I guess it is because I am not a business owner here, just a regular resident that has noticed a proliferation of descriptions of this place that are exponentially far better than the truth. Personally, I think its false advertising, but they don't really have such laws here do they?

But I have a question, if you could please post it in here: Where are the Oktoberfests held here? I've only seen a few private events held at places like Sea Winds and Fridays. it would be nice to have one that was open to the public.

The catacombs do close to tourists, so check with an authority before you go, especially if you are travelling any portion by foot. It's up a hill. Last year we walked up up up a narrow cobblestone street almost to the church, only to meet a disappointed family on their way down. That was a Tuesday. It was a glorious day, we got some good exercise, and saw a nice bit of Palermo, so all was not lost.
